Accelerate climate action in your city and community

There is an incredible amount of expertise available to cities, towns and communities that are striving to cut global emissions in half by 2030. If your city or local government hasn't yet made any commitments to climate action, then joining Cities’ Race to Zero is a great place to start. As part of this important campaign in the lead up to COP26 you will find all the resources, support and expertise you need to get your city on track to meet the Paris Agreement goals.

Join Cities’ Race to Zero

The Race to Zero is a global campaign run by the COP26 Presidency and High-Level Climate Champions to rally leadership and support from businesses, cities, regions and investors for a healthy, resilient, zero carbon transition that prevents future threats, creates decent jobs, and unlocks inclusive, sustainable growth. This will send governments a resounding signal that cities, regions, businesses and investors are united in meeting the Paris goals and creating a more inclusive and resilient economy.

Cities’ Race to Zero will mobilize an unprecedented coalition of cities committed to setting science-based targets and those implementing inclusive and resilient climate action ahead of and beyond the COP26 in Glasgow.

If your city is ready to join the Race, find out how.
