Countdown Summit
October 6–9, 2020
Bergen, Norway
Four days of talks, collaboration and commitments to action — commitments that we can track together, learn from and build on. The goal isn’t chit-chat. The goal is action. From everyone; nations, cities, companies and citizens.

We’ll gather people from across the globe: city mayors, policy-makers, business leaders, indigenous people, scientists, philanthropists, youth activists, and key influencers. People the world over, young and old. We’ll hear the boldest, wisest initiatives shared about what we can collectively do.

Participants will be attending, largely, by invitation but if you think you should be there, send us a note.

Dive deep into specific areas of interest in smaller groups to consider how we can make individual and collective contributions to cut our carbon footprint in areas like energy, transportation, food, forestation and more.
Meaningful connections
From impromptu encounters between sessions, to inspired conversations over dinner, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet change-makers and share ideas.

The Countdown Summit takes place in Bergen, Norway at Grieg Hall (Grieghallen), named after the renowned composer who once called the city home. Its beautiful main theatre, foyer and vast spaces are the central hub of Countdown. The conference center boasts enough space and flexibility for large and small group conversations, deep-dive breakouts and more.

A city on Norway’s southwestern coast, Bergen is surrounded by mountains and fjords, including Sognefjord, the country’s longest and deepest fjord. Offering nature, culture and history, Bergen features colorful wooden houses on the old wharf, once a center of the Hanseatic League's trading empire. The Fløibanen Funicular goes up Fløyen Mountain for panoramic views and hiking trails.
