Our programs

Advancing climate solutions requires new ways of seeing, communicating and engaging with the world around us.

Through our initiatives, TED Countdown works with creators, communities and changemakers who are reshaping the stories we tell about climate and bringing new audiences into the conversation.

TED Countdown Summits

Every two years, the TED Countdown Summit convenes scientists, artists, policymakers and more for an immersive gathering of mainstage talks, hands-on workshops and in-the-field Quests. In 2025, the Summit brought together more than 625 cross-disciplinary leaders in Nairobi, Kenya, to spotlight game-changing innovations emerging from the Global South and beyond — from China's clean energy pioneers to Africa's climate innovators — fostering collaboration and accelerating solutions for a more sustainable future.

Global climate events

Throughout the year, TED Countdown creates spaces for the conversations and collaborations that drive climate action at major global gatherings, including COP, Climate Week NYC and London Climate Action Week. At COP30, TED Countdown House served as a dedicated convening space alongside the official proceedings, bringing together Indigenous leaders, former heads of state, entrepreneurs, activists, journalists and other changemakers for candid, solutions-focused dialogue.

Artists for Climate

Artists have the power to help us see the climate crisis differently. That's the idea behind Artists for Climate, an initiative created by TED Countdown and Fine Acts. Through a series of creative bootcamps called SPRINTS, artists create original work that helps shape the public conversation around climate change. The initiative includes a growing global community of more than 100 artists and a free collection of over 50 illustrations.
