Isabella Tree

3 tips to make your world beautifully wild

When conservationists talk about rewilding, most people picture wolves and bison roaming endless landscapes — but Isabella Tree discovered the real revolution is happening in ordinary backyards. She shares the incredible story of how she and her husband transformed their failing farmland into a nature paradise, offering a three-step formula for anyone looking to turn their green space wild.

Bringing People Together

We convene thought leaders from around the world to share diverse perspectives, build community and foster new collaborations that can lead to tangible progress.

  • TEDx Countdown

TEDx Countdown is a grassroots initiative that supports locally-curated climate events, giving host communities the opportunity to showcase their own innovative solutions with the world. In 2025, we selected 19 TEDxCountdown events in 13 countries to participate in the TEDxCountdown anchor program, which provides the funding and support for local climate events around the globe.

  • Countdown Summit

Africa’s climate leadership is essential to the global transition. The 2025 Countdown Summit brought together 625+ cross-disciplinary leaders in Nairobi, Kenya, to share game changing innovations and bold actions emerging from the Global South and beyond.

  • TED Countdown House

During COP30 Belém, TED Countdown House became a gathering place for Indigenous leaders, former heads of state, entrepreneurs, activists, journalists and more to engage in candid dialogue. We hosted 62 events with 55 partners — from moral leadership to AI-powered conservation to regenerative finance — demonstrating the breadth of solutions underway.
